How a Single Chapati Started a Movement
In 2018, our founder witnessed a small child outside a metropolitan railway platform sharing a single piece of dried bread with a stray dog. Both were weak, hungry, and ignored by the thousands of daily commuters.
That night, the idea for **Ek Roti Welfare Foundation** was born. It started with three family volunteers preparing 50 fresh, hot Rotis in a home kitchen and distributing them from the back of a scooter.
Today, that seed has grown into a widespread network of community kitchens, dedicated sanctuaries for elderly and injured cows, and educational sponsorships helping children escape generational poverty. We remain committed to keeping our operations local, humble, and completely direct.
